PIN (Personal Identification Number)

A PIN, or personal identification number, is a security code that a customer uses with debit and credit cards to authorize transactions such as cash advances or purchases. This PIN is different from the user ID and password customers use to access account information online. A PIN provides a card user with a basic level of fraud protection and assurance that unauthorized users can't use their debit or credit card.
