Grace Period

A grace period is the time period during which you can pay off your credit-card charges without any additional finance charge, this is typically somewhere between 20 and 30 days. Keep in mind that not all credit cards offer a grace period. And, the grace period usually only applies when you pay off your balance in full every month. If you carry a balance forward, you'll still be subject to a finance charge. Also, the grace period usually does not apply to cash advances, which may begin to accrue interest immediately.
