Store-Value Card

A stored-value card, also called a smart card or an intigraded circuit card (ICC), contains a small microprocessor in a credit card sized plastic card.  With a microprocessor the card can store money electroniclly.  This card can be reloaded with money.  The microprocessor keeps track of the deposits and expenditures.  At any given time the cardholder can check the balance on the card.
